Overview
The Amarnath Temple, situated in the Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir, is one of the largest Hindu pilgrimage sites, known as Dhams. The cave is located at an altitude of 3888m and the annual Amarnath Yatra takes place during the months of July and August, specifically during the Sharavan Month. Pilgrims from around the globe visit the temple for Darshan, with many choosing to travel via Baltal, where helicopter facilities are available for convenience.
